A Healthy Green Home

Brand Identity Website + E-commerce

one planet. one chance. let's make ours A Healthy Green Home™

Affordable green products are crucial in order to sustain and nourish our lives and secure the future for our children - this is the mission of A Healthy Green Home™. As a new brand of personal care, food and cleaning products, this website was used to help define their brand image. Through an intro page of rollover graphics, the view reveals the various programs and produts in AHGH: Community Outreach, Helpful Hints, Lifestyle and The Shop.

The first version of AHGH used the Magento platform to support a robust store operation selling handbags made of recycled, resued materials. The second phase of the project was built as a content platform and was moved to Joomla so that outside authors and contributors could submit content in a more traditional workflow. §

Sliminizer Color Match System: Shapewear with an Attitude™

Sliminizer, a new start-up in New York City took to the task of designing an affordable line of women's body shapewear produced in 11 different shades to match a variety of skin tones. The problem to be solved was accurately displaying the 11 different shades of Color Match System. During the shopping experience, the viewer could choose from color swatches and the garment/model photos would change accordingly. This Magento store included automation features that would batch out orders to their back office ERP and reutn and sync data from the warehouse with shipping and inventory data.

In addition to the technical requirements, all the photography, design and production work was done in-house. §

Western Interiors and Design

Magazine Website + Digital Edition + Photography + Production

Western InteriorsI was part of Western Interiors and Design since before it's inception. An initial prototype website was used to show potential investors the proof of concept. Western Interiors launched in May 2003 with critcal success, winning 2 Maggie Awards in the first year for Home Entertainment and Design. In print, the magazine reached 275,000 readers and another 35,000 online each month.

Although the website was primarily used as a means to support the sales and marketing efforts of the magaizne for the first four years, in 2007 the decision was made to put the current issue plus all back issues online in a digital edition format.  This format provided the magaine in it's entirety with all the advertising and editorial content with clickable links inside.

As a Contributing Photographer, I had photographs in almost every issue the first 5 years.

Western Interiors and Design was purchased by Sandow Media in 2009 and is no longer in print.  §
